Honey Hand Balm
With the seasons changing, I have found that my skin is less excited about the drop in humidity than the rest of me. My hands especially get dry and cracked and my cuticles are a mess more so than usual. I wanted to make a super heavy, thick lotion to put on my hands before I go to bed, to soak in overnight. So, that's what I did - I combined olive oil infused with calendula and plantain (two big skin healers) with coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax. Lastly, I added castor oil and honey. Castor oil penetrates deep and honey heals cracks. I find this combination of deep mosturizers and surface healers/protectors to be delightful, and it smells so good I want to eat it.
Honestly, I just spend a few minutes rubbing it in around my cuticles and between my fingers and then throw socks on my hands so they don't get stuck in my hair and i don't leave much of a grease print on my sheets.
